Overview
Staffordshire County Council invites applications for the Business Support Assistant - Customer Services role in Children\'s Services. This position supports frontline teams by ensuring the office runs smoothly and that inquiries from members of the public and professionals are handled efficiently. Based in Burton Upon Trent, England, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
* Be the first point of contact for all telephone calls into the busy office from members of the public and professionals.
* Deal with queries, transfer and signpost, and undertake meet and greet duties as required.
* Use a customer-based information system to log and track information.
* Undertake financial transactions including placing orders.
The Ideal Candidate
* Teamwork, strong organisational skills and a good level of competency using IT systems.
* Good communication skills to interact with people across the organisation and externally by phone, in person and email.
* Attention to detail and the ability to keep data up to date and work to deadlines.
* A flexible approach and the ability to prioritise and adapt tasks as priorities change.
* A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
