Mad Swans is looking for a full-time Sales & Marketing Director to join our budding team. You’ll be the first person to step into these shoes and shape this brand-new role.
This exciting new role represents a rare opportunity to establish a new hospitality brand centred around sport, hospitality and sustainability. The Sales & Marketing Director will spearhead all commercial efforts for Mad Swans. It is pivotal in the launch of this exciting new brand. The Sales & Marketing Director will develop go-to-market strategies, building brand awareness, driving revenue, and scaling our presence across key markets. The Sales & Marketing Director will also manage and develop a strong small commercial team.
We will be opening our first Mad Swans in the Mendips (Bristol) and have other sites planned for Alton, Exeter and Farnham, with more to follow in the future.

The Potting Shed proudly boasts a menu of refreshing takes on Brasserie classics while, in The Hangout, the focus is on shareable plates with no compromise on flavour. But wherever guests find themselves, from course to court, the meadow to the orchard, they’re never far from a plate of something delicious to satisfy any craving. And, for evenings that go on forever, an Eco Cabin for the night is only a starlit walk through the wilderness away.

What there is to it
Brand Launch & Go-to-Market
* Lead commercial planning for the launch of a new hotel brand
* Define brand positioning and customer acquisition strategies
* Develop and execute integrated launch campaigns for each hotel opening
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
* Build and lead sales teams across multiple properties
* Drive B2B and B2C sales across corporate, group, and leisure segments
* Set up systems and processes for sales, events and reservations
* Establish key partnerships and secure early wins to build momentum
Marketing Leadership
* Oversee brand marketing, content, PR, digital, and social strategy working with the Marketing Executive
* Manage brand website launch, SEO/SEM, and CRM development
* Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all platforms
Cross-Property Oversight
* Align local sales and marketing efforts with brand-level strategy.
* Coordinate cross-property promotions, events, and media opportunities.
* Monitor KPIs including RevPAR, ADR, and direct channel performance.
This is a full-time permanent position and will predominantly work Monday to Friday. The salary for this role is £85,000/annum along with an attractive bonus scheme.
Location –this role will travel to all existing and future sites. At present, we have sites in Bristol, Alton, Exeter and Farnham. We also have a central office in Piccadilly, London.
Travel Requirement -this role will visit all existing and new sites in the future so there will be a need to travel on a regular basis. Given the location of our sites, the job holder will need to be able to drive and also have their own vehicle. This role may also require the job holder to stay away overnight from time to time.
Working Hours– the working hours will generally be core office hours, however, occasional evenings and weekend work maybe required at times.
Working Days– this role will predominantly work Monday to Friday.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Director who is:
* Experienced with five or more years of hospitality sales and marketing leadership
* Proven and experienced with brand launches or multi-property openings
* Highly knowledgeable of digital marketing, revenue strategy, and CRM tools
* Able to be strategic and have a mindset with strong execution skills and team leadership ability
* Passionate about innovation, storytelling, and guest engagement
* Results driven and driven to achieve ambitious sales revenue targets
* Excited about launching a new hospitality brand and concept
* Comfortable working in a “start-up” business and environment
* An excellent communicator and negotiator
* Strong organisational skills and able to multi-task
* Confident, outgoing and well-presented
* Self-driven and highly motivated
* Happy and able to work both independently and as part of a team
