We're looking for an experienced Systems Developer to join our ICT team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development, maintenance and improvement of the Council's digital systems.
About the Role
You will work across the full system development lifecycle, including:
* Analysing requirements, designing, developing, testing and documenting systems.
* Creating user interfaces, system integrations and prototypes.
* Maintaining data integrity and supporting database administration.
* Producing technical specifications, test plans and scripts.
* Diagnosing and resolving third-tier support incidents.
* Leading system upgrades and patches within ITIL Change and Release processes.
* Supporting continuous improvement and promoting best practice in development.
Qualifications
We're seeking a developer with strong technical skills and a proactive mindset. You should have:
* A degree in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent experience.
* Extensive practical experience developing and maintaining workflows using Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate
* Good background knowledge in setting up, configuring, and administering Azure environments, ensuring compliance, scalability, and operational excellence
* Understanding of REST, SOAP and JSON integrations.
* Knowledge of ITIL testing, change and release management.
* Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
