We are looking to add a Document Controller located in Kendal OR Blackburn. This is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, reporting to the Head Projects.


Responsibilities

* To edit documentation in line with LDC requirements
* To liaise directly with end‑client Document Controllers
* Manage time‑critical documentation and self‑manage workload
* Generate and update project documentation and collate information for reporting purposes
* Copy, scan and store documents
* Review and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows) with direction from the team
* Distribute project‑related copies to internal teams
* File documents in physical and digital records
* Create templates for future use
* Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients
* Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement


Qualifications

* Ability to converse clearly and concisely with LDC and team members
* Ability to learn and self‑manage online document platforms
* Excellent PC, written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to organise own workload and take initiative
* Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives
* High level of organisation; efficient and thorough in methods of working
* Some travel may be required
