About The Role

Hippo is recruiting for a People Team Admin Assistant on a 6 month FTC.

As a consulting business, our people are our greatest asset. With this in mind, a high degree of focus is needed in the People area to support our current growth and onboarding new employees.

Reporting to the Senior People Business Partner you will work in a collaborative team that requires a confident and pragmatic approach where the ability to develop positive working relationships across the business is key.

This is a hybrid working, full time role, and will require regular in person working within our Leeds office.

The People team Admin Assistant is a crucial member of the People team and you will play a pivotal role in providing a seamless, efficient and first class service during the on-boarding of new Hippos to the business and support administration processes during the employee lifecycle.


Vital to the success of this role you will work alongside the Talent Acquisition, Client Operations team as well as our third party suppliers to provide administration support that will include but not limited to:

* On-boarding
* Off-boarding
* People processes and procedures
* People systems


The role in a nutshell:

* Onboarding admin and organisation including contract creation and onboarding onto our systems for all new starters
* Regular audit reporting and compliance checks
* Administration of our company benefits
* Administration of background checks
* Administration of offboarding
* Supporting a positive experience through the employee lifecycle by managing the team mailbox, answering queries from employees
* Accurately logging information and keeping records up to date.


About the Candidate:

* You should have strong attention to detail to be able to update records and produce documents with accuracy.
* You need to be able to work in the open as part of collaborative team to provide a high quality and responsive service to the business.
* Organised and able to prioritise effectively, able to work with changing priorities and apply a logical focus to problems.
* A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use your own initiative.

Hippo locations

We are headquartered in Leeds and have offices across the UK in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol. We're on the lookout for top talent nationwide but you need to be located within reasonable travelling distance from one of our offices which will be your contracted office location. Given the dynamic nature of a consulting business, you may be required to work on-site at a Hippo office or at an in/out of town client location for a number of days per week (client dependent) and therefore candidates will need to be open/flexible to travel. Plus, we offer a generous relocation support package of up to £8k (please ask for terms and conditions) to help make your move a smooth one.
