Job Title: Amazon Digital Commerce Specialist

Business Function: Customer Development

Location: Kingston-Upon-Thames


Job Purpose

The Amazon Digital Commerce Specialist will be responsible for data and content within Unilever UK to optimise the Digital Shelf. You will support the Amazon Digital Marketing Executive with media campaign setup (briefing of media assets) and in‑flight execution. Success will be measured by your impact on business targets such as Market Share, USG and Conversion. You will be passionate about creating brilliant brand experiences for our shoppers.


Job Summary

You will partner with the Amazon account team, brand teams and agency partners to deliver best‑in‑class plans and educate the wider business. You will work across all Business Units to ensure that product page content is on time, meets Amazon’s requirements, and that NPDs launch as scheduled. You will optimise existing product page content to maximise sales, meet Perfect Store Online quality targets, search rank, product content, ratings & reviews, and listing accuracy. You will look after the Foods media strategy and budget, and work closely with the Smart Data Team to develop data reports and insights. You will also handle ad‑hoc projects to enhance our digital presence on Amazon.


Responsibilities

* Own content across Personal Care, Beauty & Wellbeing and Foods Business Units.
* Manage the relationship between our Agency and Unilever from an Amazon perspective to optimise content and land NPDs onsite.
* Review the Data Impact score for our brands to ensure best‑in‑class content is on Amazon.
* Work with DCommerce stakeholders to develop and deploy new content on Amazon across our brands (titles, images, descriptions).
* Ensure multipack images are created and deployed on Amazon by working with Agency partners.
* Collaborate with CAMs & Executives to develop product lists for Hero, COTC 60 and COTC 80 products.
* Assort products and NPDs in Kwery regularly to ensure content can be deployed on all products.
* Submit products for Vine to raise ratings & reviews of our NPDs.
* Support Category Account Managers & Executives with provided SDS (safety data sheets) for our products.
* Maintain brand stores, ensuring correct assets are present on each page of the store.
* Create and maintain a tracker for gifting products to monitor sales performance and optimise media budgets.
* Support CAMs in creating virtual bundles and deploying content on Amazon with our agencies.
* Liaise with DCommerce on creating A+ and Premium A+ content for NPDs and Big Bets for publishing on Amazon.
* Maintain the NPD tracker to ensure all stages of the process are met.
* Ensure successful launch of all NPDs by having the correct content and launching on time.
* Work with stakeholders (e.g., CAMs, Content Managers, Agencies, Brand teams) to capture Amazon's requirements.


Merchandising And Foods Media

* Book merchandising for all BUs through Vendor Central.
* Lead Foods media strategy with our agency and manage the budget to ensure it is spent in full.
* Be the point of contact for our agency on Foods media and related topics.


Data

* Manage Smart Data tools and their adoption within the Emerging Ecommerce Team.
* Manage the relationship between the Smart Data team and data providers (e.g., OCR).
* Work with the global Smart Data team to maintain a suite of useful tools (Jupiter, Smart Business, Vector, Dcomm P&L Dashboard, Price Pulse).
* Provide a weekly Amazon EPOS update to the team by creating a report.


All About You – Experiences & Qualifications

* Experience building brands digitally to deliver brand experiences and optimise digital performance & tracking measurements.
* Experience working with retailers and media agencies.
* Prior experience with Amazon is beneficial but not required.
* Preferably experience with Unilever’s content ecosystem (Kwery, TAB, PIM2C, PCP, CaaS, Perfect Store Online).
* Experience with data software & tools, and creating data reports for the team.
* A strong interest in media, content and marketing.


Skills

* Ability to influence & have impact working closely with brand teams to serve consumer needs.
* Understanding of consumer shopping behaviours.
* Strong analytical competency to extract insights on media performance.
* Ability to operate with limited supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
* Data‑driven mindset.
* Adaptability and agility to respond to ad‑hoc requests.
* Capability to drive media strategy and manage budgets with agency partners.


Notes

In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London. This site will house some employees currently working in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars and colleagues in Lever House, Kingston. The campus is expected to be completed in 2026.
