The Company A growing financial services business is building out its in-house data capability and is now looking for a Data Product Manager to take ownership of its BI strategy. With Power BI embedded across the organisation and Looker currently being tested, the business is investing heavily in scaling its reporting infrastructure and needs someone with the experience to lead that product journey. You’ll report directly to the Co-founder and work closely with the Lead Data Engineer, joining a collaborative team of BI Developers and Data Engineers. Financial services experience is essential—this hire will be focused on making complex financial data accessible and actionable for the wider business. The Role As the Data Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for the development and delivery of BI tools and processes across the organisation. This includes defining the roadmap, translating business requirements into technical deliverables, and working closely with engineering and analytics to ensure consistent delivery. The business sits on Google Cloud Platform, so technical credibility across GCP, SQL, and Power BI will be essential from day one. Key responsibilities include: Owning and delivering the BI product roadmap Collaborating with data engineers and BI developers (team of 5) to build scalable solutions Working closely with stakeholders to understand financial reporting needs and translate them into actionable data products Leading product planning, prioritisation, and delivery across Power BI and GCP stack Supporting the integration of Looker as a complementary BI tool What You’ll Bring Strong experience as a Product Manager focused on BI/Analytics tools Prior background working with financial services data – e.g. banking, insurance, asset management, or fintech Proven track record in Power BI product development and stakeholder adoption Confident with GCP, SQL, and some Python – you’ll need to be technically hands-on when required Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills A proactive, delivery-focused approach and the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams We’re reviewing CVs this week with interviews to follow shortly.
