Newstaff Employment Services is seeking a skilled and reliable MIG Welder to join our team in Hitchin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG welding and be capable of working to high standards on a variety of metal fabrication projects. Key Responsibilities
* Perform MIG welding tasks to fabricate, join, and repair metal components according to specifications.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
* Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards.
* Carry out inspections and quality control on completed welds.
* Maintain and operate welding equipment safely and effectively.
* Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a MIG Welder.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Good understanding of welding safety procedures.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Relevant welding certifications or qualifications are advantageous.
* Physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of the role.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
