As Assistant Ranger you'll deliver an agreed programme of practical, interpretive, ecological and administrative works providing high-quality management of the park where both visitors and wildlife are kept in mind, helping to balance the needs of recreation and conservation wherever appropriate.

You'll have regular contact with our expansive volunteer team across the park as well as stakeholders and other Countryside Service teams.
Throughout your contract, your role will be to carry out a wide range of practical maintenance including frequent site patrols, litter picking, site maintenance, woodland management and the management of site infrastructure. Habitat management will predominantly be woodland focused and eradicating invasive species. Additionally, there are also key administrative tasks that will need to be completed to ensure the smooth running of the business and to support excellent visitor experiences.
