My client, a leading regional legal practice, is looking to recruit a Senior Associate (ideally 5-10 years PQE) to join their growing Development team, focusing on Strategic Land Development. The firm generates significant opportunities from regional and national landowners/property developers. To enable growth, they require an experienced solicitor with a strong background in Strategic Land Development (Option and/or Promotion agreements) and an established reputation in this field, preferably with connections to agencies.
This represents a great opportunity to grow a practice/business in Strategic Land Development in any UK location.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Manage your own caseload and ensure deadlines are met;
2. Assist Partners with complex and high-value matters;
3. Retain good clients through effective client management and service delivery;
4. Scope and price new instructions accurately, with good financial management;
5. Provide clients with accurate, up-to-date legal advice tailored to their circumstances, ensuring value for money;
6. Contribute to the development of the team business plan and take ownership of assigned activities;
7. Develop relationships with peers across the firm;
8. Support business development and marketing efforts, including attending conferences;
9. Manage direct reports as the team grows.
Person Specification:
1. Proven technical experience in Strategic Land Development;
2. Adaptable, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work under pressure both individually and as part of a team;
3. Collaborate effectively across the firm;
4. Prioritize client needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective service;
5. Communicate effectively at all levels;
6. Possess strong commercial acumen and aspirations to grow with the firm.
