As we undergo an exciting finance transformation including ERP and process improvements, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of financial reporting and business insight.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll be a central figure in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to senior leadership and the Board. This role blends technical accounting with commercial business partnering so ideal for someone who enjoys both precision and influence. You’ll take ownership across a broad and engaging remit, including:
Financial Reporting & Control
1. Deliver high-quality monthly group reporting and management accounts
2. Support statutory accounts preparation in line with IFRS and group policies
3. Lead on IFRS16 lease accounting and ROU asset management
4. Drive balance sheet integrity and robust control processes
5. Partner with auditors to ensure smooth, efficient audits
6. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and Board-level reporting
Commercial Business Partnering
7. Work closely with operational and commercial teams to drive performance
8. Deliver insightful P&L reporting by contract, project, and department
9. Lead financial reviews with stakeholders and clients
10. Support bids, tenders, and strategic decision-making with robust analysis
11. Ensure revenue recognition, cost control, and project profitability
Systems & Transformation
12. Play a key role in finance system optimisation and ERP implementation
13. Own finance system administration and drive process improvements
14. Leverage tools such as Navision, TM1 Cognos, and CCH Tagetik
What We’re Looking For
15. Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
16. 2-3 years’ experience in management accounting or similar
17. Strong Excel and systems skills with a proactive mindset
18. Confident communicator able to influence non-finance stakeholders
19. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
