What your day will look like: Operate Artic: Safely operate a lorry to load, unload, and transport various types of goods, including building materials, machinery, and heavy items. Vehicle Safety & Maintenance: Ensure that the vehicle and equipment are maintained in good working order, reporting any issues or defects promptly. Perform daily checks on the vehicle and Artic before starting work. Route Planning & Navigation: Plan routes and schedule deliveries effectively to meet deadlines while considering traffic conditions, road restrictions, and vehicle size limits. Load Securing: Ensure that all loads are secured properly and safely, following the relevant load-securing guidelines to prevent damage or accidents during transit. Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all legal requirements, including driving regulations (tachograph), safety guidelines, and site-specific health and safety protocols. Documentation & Paperwork: Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, delivery logs, and vehicle inspection forms. Ensure all documentation is signed by customers upon delivery. Customer Interaction: Provide a professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, drivers, and site staff, maintaining a positive company image.
