Purpose
As a member of the PRM Airside Driver Team, you will operate the company’s specialist vehicles on the airfield to transfer passengers with reduced mobility (PRMs) from aircraft to terminal or vice versa. Vehicles range from minibuses to Class 2 rigid heavy goods vehicles, with full training provided. You will also assist PRMs onto aircraft, into seats, or into ABM vehicles or terminals, involving passenger and manual handling techniques.
You may also perform other driving duties such as bus driving on the airfield to transport airport and airline passengers between designated transfer points. This role primarily involves operating buses that do not require a PCV license. Full training will be provided. The job is mainly airside but may require working in other areas as needed, offering a regular routine with occasional variations.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete the daily Vehicle Check Sheet, report vehicle defaults following the Vehicle Inspection procedure.
* Ensure the safety and security of company vehicles at all times during driving.
* Drive various vehicles including minibuses, AMBI vehicles, buses, and others as required, with full training provided.
* Operate vehicles safely near aircraft using all safety systems.
* Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
* Assist passengers at the aircraft door, including those in wheelchairs, using safe manual handling techniques.
* Perform Customer Care Agent duties within the terminal, such as escorting passengers, assisting PRMs, and managing boarding and arrivals.
* Update the Allocator on job progress via PDA and radio.
* Comply with Bristol airport airside driving requirements.
* Promote a safe and secure environment at all times.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
* Full clean UK driving license.
* Experience in a similar role or driving larger vehicles is advantageous.
* Ability to carry out any reasonable task requested.
This role's key tasks may vary based on client and operational demands.
Applicants who have spent more than 6 months outside the UK in the last 5 years will need police clearance from all relevant countries before interview.
