Responsibilities
* Assist skilled joiners in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber components according to detailed drawings and specifications.
* Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
* Support the preparation and setting up of materials and equipment required for joinery work.
* Carry out routine maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and timber frames both on-site and in the workshop.
* Follow health and safety regulations and company policies at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
* Help in assembling and erecting timber frames on-site under the supervision of senior joiners or site managers.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring waste and scrap materials are disposed of properly.
* Report any issues or defects in materials to supervisors promptly.
* Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
