Job Description
As an Electrically Biased Engineer for a leading food manufacturer, you will be responsible for managing engineers, leading projects, and providing PPM and OEE support at the company's Trafford Park manufacturing site.
Our client is an established manufacturer of authentic global foods for the hospitality, retail, food service, and wholesale sectors.
This challenging role requires a time-served or apprentice-trained engineer with previous experience in a fast-paced environment. The site is AA BRC rated; therefore, candidates must have experience working within a highly regulated and audited site.
Your responsibilities as an Electrically Biased Engineer include:
1. Perform routine planned maintenance and respond to maintenance requests to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
2. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly to maintain production flow.
3. Conduct breakdown repairs of plant and site service equipment, utilising problem-solving skills to implement long-term fixes.
4. Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste through effective change management.
5. Support and coach relevant employees in all aspects of shared maintenance.
6. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
Your Profile:
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Electrical or Multi-skilled) - ONC or BTEC equivalent, HNC (desirable), with demonstrable electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems used in food manufacturing.
Problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
High attention to detail to ensure precision in maintenance and repairs, upholding quality standards.

Attractive salary: £53,067.96 per annum + 5% bonus.
Continental shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off.
