Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead the implementation of Cancer Management System and associated technologies that will improve pathways, safety, data quality and patient experience across our Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering our digital transformation ambitions for cancer services—working closely with clinical teams, Digital Transformation colleagues, and regional partners to ensure the successful deployment, adoption and optimisation of new tools that support early diagnosis, timely treatment, and high‑quality care.
The post holder will ensure the delivery of efficient and effective planning and implementation of Projects.
Responsibilities
* The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of multiple complex projects, within the programme portfolio, to the required DTT quality and standards.
* Liaise with local project teams to produce project documentation, including the Project Initiation Document(s) (PID) and project control documents (Risk and Issue Log) etc.
* Lead and line manage Project Team Members.
* Support business process change and service improvement planning.
* Effective communication of projects benefits, justification and progress to all stakeholders.
* Raise awareness to support the delivery of projects.
About the Trust
Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.
Established in 2005, we were one of the first foundation trusts in the country and since then have consistently achieved the highest levels of care for patients.
