Join a brand-new independent specialist school, opening its doors in September 2025, dedicated to empowering 30 secondary-aged pupils (11-16 years) with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Situated in a stunning, recently refurbished residential setting, our school features modern facilities and exceptional resources. The Role
The Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support to our secondary-aged students. This is more than a job; it\'s an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people.

* Assist the class teacher in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons.
* Develop and implement individualised learning plans tailored to student needs.

Requirements
* A valid UK driving licence is essential.
* Experience supporting students with SEMH needs is preferred.
* ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) training is a bonus, but we\'ll support the right candidate to complete this.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a strong sense of purpose.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills
Experience
* 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
