Talentometry has partnered with an Industrial Automation Engineering Consultancy to expand their Industrial ICT team. Clients include Defence, large multinational industrial entities, and the UK Government.
The role involves travel to various UK sites (travel time paid). Key responsibilities include:
* Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain networks, including switching, routing, security, and wireless technologies. Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize.
* Server and Client Configuration & Support: Manage servers and client systems, ensuring security and performance. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
* Patch Management: Oversee updates and security patches to mitigate vulnerabilities.
* Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement data backup solutions.
* Collaboration and Documentation: Work with teams and document configurations and procedures.
* Monitoring and Reporting: Use tools to track performance and generate reports.
* User Support: Provide technical support to end-users.
About You: Candidates should have experience managing systems underpinning critical infrastructure, with:
* Minimum 5 years' practical experience.
* Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks.
* Experience with network security protocols.
* CISCO CCNA or equivalent certification.
Preferred Skills:
* VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
* Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
* SOC, SIEM, SNMP.
* Interest in IOT/OT/ICS.
* Experience with network management tools.
