Job Title: Senior Estimator - LV Switchgear Location: Ballykelly Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent Working Hours: 40hrs / week - Negotiable Salary: Competitive, Negotiable depending on experience Role Summary As a Senior Estimator you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for electrical switchgear and modular solution projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability and adhering to company standards. Main Responsibilities: Review of client enquiry specifications, to produce technical quotations for clients. Review and interpret electrical specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for switchgear projects. Collaborate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to gather necessary information and ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimate. Analyse labour, material, and time requirements, and compute costs by applying labour and material pricing schedules. Prepare detailed and itemised cost breakdowns, including materials, labour, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs. Present estimates and participate in bid reviews with management, providing insights and recommendations for bid strategies. Track and monitor changes in scope, identifying cost implications and revising estimates accordingly. Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and trends to ensure competitive and accurate estimating practices. Liaise and help co-ordinate with all stakeholders on projects. Department guidance and support to the internal team. The Person Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical estimation, specifically in switchgear projects or modular solutions. Strong understanding of electrical switchgear systems, components, and installation processes. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to electrical switchgear and modular solutions Proficiency in using estimating software and tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
