Responsibilities
* Provide clear, practical advice on private client matters, including Wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney (LPAs), and estate administration.
* Manage your own caseload from initial client meetings to completion, developing trusted relationships throughout.
* Draft legal documents that help clients plan and protect their wealth effectively.
* Communicate confidently and clearly with clients, both in person and in writing, making complex matters easy to understand.
* Support and mentor junior colleagues and support staff, helping to develop talent within the team.
* Contribute to business development initiatives and help strengthen the firm's approach to client service.
* Build and maintain strong professional relationships across the firm and with clients, referrers, and the local community.
Experience and qualifications
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2-4 years' post-qualification experience in Private Client law.
* Practical experience with Wills, trusts, LPAs, and estate administration.
* Strong client care and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
* Commercial awareness and interest in contributing to business development activities.
* Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
