Director – Coverage & Advisory, | London
The Role
Our Client, a Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking a Director to join its UK ETNR ( Energy Transition & Natural Resources ) Coverage & Advisory team. The role sits at the heart of client origination and relationship management, delivering tailored solutions across financial advisory, structured finance, investment banking, and M&A.
The successful candidate will lead senior relationships with UK corporates and funds, originate new business opportunities, and coordinate cross‑product delivery in line with the strategic direction set by ETNR senior bankers and UK management.
Key Responsibilities
Client Coverage & Origination
* Lead coverage of selected UK corporates and financial sponsors in partnership with the ETNR UK coverage team
* Act as senior point of contact between Natixis CIB and assigned clients and prospects
* Build trusted, long‑term relationships at C‑suite and board level
* Develop deep understanding of clients’ businesses, strategies, and financing objectives
Business Development
* Identify strategic, financing, and transactional opportunities across the client portfolio
* Originate mandates across advisory, financing, and capital markets products
* Generate and deliver high‑quality client pitches and commercial proposals
* Design and execute commercial action plans for priority clients and prospects
* Facilitate introductions to relevant Business Lines and support cross‑selling initiatives
Execution & Governance
* Support transaction execution, negotiations, and credit processes alongside Business Lines
* Coordinate client onboarding, KYC, and relationship mapping
* Monitor portfolio profitability and performance
* Work closely with risk, compliance, and portfolio management to optimise risk and capital deployment
Leadership
* Contribute to the development of the UK ETNR business strategy
* Mentor junior bankers and support their professional development
* Identify process inefficiencies or risks and propose practical improvements
Skills & Experience
* Significant experience in Corporate & Investment Banking, Coverage, or Advisory roles
* Strong track record of originating and executing deals with UK corporates and/or financial sponsors
* Deep understanding of structured finance, advisory, and capital markets products
* Proven ability to manage senior client relationships and complex stakeholder environments
* Strong commercial judgement, credit understanding, and risk awareness
* Leadership mindset with experience mentoring junior bankers
