Job description - Senior Technical Implementation Consultant - SAP
About the role
1. Serve as a primary interface with client tax professionals.
2. Lead business and user requirements sessions and formulate into design/solution documentation for Integration.
3. Assist in the analysis and delivery of SAP integration implementations that reflect an in-depth understanding of the client’s tax requirements and compliance process.
4. Engagement with other Thomson Reuters teams as appropriate to deliver end to end Indirect Tax integration solutions
5. Ensure all Indirect tax related requirements are met
6. Explain ONESOURCE Integration for SAP related issues/problems and solutions to non-tax & technical staff
7. Work with clients to translate their tax policy into ONESOURCE integration solutions
8. Install and configure ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for SAP
9. Execute personal working within a controlled project management environment
10. Work with Pre-sales on prospects and bid development
11. Work with functional & technical colleagues to deliver the implementation
About you
12. 5+ years of work experience with at least 3 of those years working with SAP
13. Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
14. Must have technical experience implementing SAP and/or Add-on Solutions
15. Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues caused when multiple add-ons are installed
16. Must be skilled in troubleshooting and resolving SAP system issues
17. Should have experience with process analysis, design, mapping, and re-engineering
18. Should have experience with process/software gap analysis and resolution
19. Should have experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts
20. Working in the SAP application
21. ABAP Programming capabilities
22. Knowledge of APIs, Webservices (SOAP & REST), xml
23. Up to 10% of travel is expected
Highly Desirable Skills (not required)
24. Tax and Financial
Experience configuring transaction taxes and related master data within SAP
Experience with integrating third party enterprise tax products (e.g. ONESOURCE Determination, ONESOURCE Compliance, Avalara, Sovos, CCH, Sabrix, Taxware and/or Vertex) is highly desirable
Financial work experience or related degree
25. Technical
Ability to write/modify existing integration software and integrate software applications and modules in accordance with agreed upon specifications, created in partnership with others
Create and execute unit testing ensuring software meets requirements
Object Oriented Programming
SAP Certification
Education Required
26. Higher Education Degree or Diploma – Finance, Accounting or Computer Science preferred
