Job Description Temporary Accommodation and Community Wellbeing Assistant (Permanent) (19/266) Dumfries £24,891 - £26,148 An excellent opportunity has arisen for the post of Temporary Accommodation and Community Wellbeing Assistant within the Housing Options & Homeless Service. You will be required to work 36 hours per week. An integral part of the Temporary Accommodation and Community Wellbeing team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Service to deliver Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Homelessness statutory duties. You should have experience of dealing with the public, particularly in challenging situations. You should have excellent communication, administration and computer literacy skills. You should be educated to minimum National 4 or equivalent in English and Maths. Accuracy, attention to detail and confident use of Microsoft365, particularly Excel, are essential skills for this role. Basic Integra navigation and data input experience is desirable. You should have the ability to adapt, organise and prioritise workloads in line with changing demands of the Service. You must be able to work independently and as part of the wider team to meet deadlines and deliver KPIs. You must have a strong commitment to providing excellent service for customers and show resilience in challenging situations and interactions. This post is office based in Dumfries. You will be required to provide remote administration support for colleagues in outlying offices in Annan, Kirkcudbright and Stranraer.
