The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our Transformer business as a Project Manager. You will lead the execution of transformer projects, ensuring all activities comply with Hitachi Energy policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
Responsible and accountable for delivering projects from tendering to final closure, working closely with our transformer service team to meet project objectives for both the client and Hitachi Energy.
How You'll Make An Impact
* Lead project execution, establishing approach and monitoring activities for internal and external resources.
* Define project plans, including scope, financials, schedule, and risk management, in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
* Ensure adherence to best practices, policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
* Monitor project progress, resource utilization, and financials, including invoicing and cost control.
* Identify and manage risks and opportunities, ensuring lessons learned are captured and projects are formally closed with client feedback.
* Maintain accurate reporting on project scope, financial status, risks, opportunities, and cash flow.
* Support tendering processes and develop strategies for project pursuit.
* Ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery, keeping stakeholders informed.
* Manage scope changes and commercial aspects to maximize contractual position.
Your Background
* Proven project management experience in the industry or similar field.
* Knowledge of successful project delivery and management principles.
* Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Recognized Health, Safety, and Environmental qualification (e.g., IOSH).
* Knowledge of CDM regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
