Join Flint Bishop as a dedicated Court of Protection Paralegal in our Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts department. This full‑time role supports high‑volume caseloads, liaises with the Office of the Public Guardian and the Senior Courts Costs Office, and delivers expert legal administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform legal research and prepare court applications, financial reports, and related documents.
* Assist solicitors and legal executives with Court of Protection cases, including deputyship, statutory wills, health and welfare decisions, and related trust matters.
* Support deputyship cases, cost applications, nursing or residential home funding, deprivation of liberty, and safeguarding matters.
* Maintain file management procedures and log urgent and non‑urgent correspondence in the firm’s case management system.
* Take on additional tasks as reasonably required by the Head of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Have a law degree (2.1 or higher) or another legal qualification.
* Preferably have previous experience assisting solicitors or legal executives in Court of Protection cases.
* Possess excellent communication skills and a sound knowledge of IT systems such as the Microsoft suite.
* Be a hard‑working, highly‑motivated individual capable of working cohesively as part of a larger team.
