Role Summary Our client is seeking a Vice President‑level trader to join a cross‑asset trading function, with primary responsibility for Rates and Credit and complementary Equities market experience. The role combines derivatives trading, data‑driven analysis, and portfolio implementation, with accountability for idea generation, execution, and cross‑asset risk management. The position requires strong technical capability, including the use of Python for data analysis, and the ability to translate sales flow and client data into structured trading strategies and portfolio‑relevant positions. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis and Insight Generation Analyse sales flow, client activity, and market data using Python and quantitative tools. Identify trends, dislocations, and repeatable patterns relevant to rates, credit, and related asset classes. Transform raw flow and market data into actionable trading and risk insights. Trading Strategy Development Develop trading ideas based on analytical outputs and market observations. Structure and implement strategies using derivatives across rates, credit, and equity‑linked instruments where appropriate. Assess portfolio implications, correlations, and risk profiles prior to execution. Trade Execution and Risk Management Execute trades efficiently across relevant markets with attention to liquidity, pricing, and transaction costs. Actively manage positions post‑execution, including hedging and ongoing risk adjustment. Monitor exposures and risks on a cross‑asset basis, adjusting positioning in response to changing market conditions. Cross‑Functional Interaction Work closely with sales to understand client activity and flow dynamics. Coordinate with portfolio managers, risk, and other trading teams to ensure alignment with portfolio objectives and risk limits. Contribute to the continuous improvement of trading processes and analytical tools. Required Experience and Skills Experience Minimum of 6 years of trading experience in Rates, Credit, or Cross‑Asset markets. Prior exposure to Equities markets, preferably within a multi‑asset or relative‑value framework. Demonstrated experience trading and managing derivatives. Technical Skills Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modelling, and workflow enhancement. Strong understanding of derivatives pricing, risk measures, and portfolio construction. Ability to work with large datasets and convert analysis into trading decisions. Market Knowledge Solid knowledge of rates and credit products, including curves, spreads, and volatility. Understanding of cross‑asset relationships and macro drivers. Experience managing risk across multiple asset classes.
