General Manager - Premium Deli & Bakery - Mill Hill
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and hands-on General Manager to lead the team at this much-loved Jewish deli and bakery based in Mill Hill.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong food retail operator to take ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy and well-established business, leading from the front across both retail and production operations. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the team, customer experience, commercial performance, and operational standards across the site.

The operation is fast-paced and hands-on, with a strong focus on fresh products, exceptional customer service, and maintaining high operational standards throughout both the shop floor and kitchen.
The Person
The ideal General Manager will have the following:
Proven experience as a General Manager within a food retail or deli environment
Strong commercial awareness with confidence managing sales, labour, margins, and cost of goods
A hands-on management style with the ability to lead from the front
Experience managing recruitment, training, rotas, and team development
Excellent customer service and operational management skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Ability to oversee stock management, ordering, opening and closing procedures, and compliance standards
A good understanding of food safety, allergen management, and health & safety regulations
Knowledge of Jewish deli food or bakery products would be highly advantageous
Understanding of the Jewish calendar and flexibility to work weekends, UK public holidays, and Jewish holidays is essential
