Band 7 Advanced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist Echocardiography Based at Wythenshawe
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individuals to join the team at Manchester Foundation Trust who will rotate between sites to provide Cardiac Diagnostic Services in a large tertiary centre, district general and community settings. The department offers a full spectrum of invasive and non-invasive cardiac diagnostic investigations and is committed to developing staff and actively developing new roles for service provision. Main duties of the job
* Job Purpose: Independently practises with a high level of skill and autonomy at Advanced Specialist level in Echocardiography.
* Independently practises with a high level of skill and autonomy a wide range of other cardiac physiology procedures.
* Provides effective day-to-day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when required.
* Actively participates in practical and theoretical training and development of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals from inside and outside of the organisation.
* Participates in cardiac and associated medical research as integral to the role.
* To undertake any other duties deemed appropriate to the band when requested by the Principal Cardiac Physiologist.

Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential —
BSc Cardiac Clinical Physiology or Healthcare Science or MSc in Healthcare Science; Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science or equivalent experience; BSE Accreditation in TTE; Competent to practice a wide range of Cardiac Diagnostic procedures; Multi-disciplinary teamwork; Practical and formal teaching experience.
Desirable — Teaching qualification; AHCS or HCPC Registration; Tertiary cardiac physiology practice; Participation in cardiac research.
