As a Sales Assistant based in Lanark, you’ll be responsible for:
* Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
* Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
* Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
* Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
* Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch
This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm and every other Saturday 08.00am - 12.00pm.
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
* Prior trade industry experience would be advantageous
* Previous Face to Face customer service/sales experience is essential
* Prior warehouse experience would be ideal
* Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role
* Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic
