Dance Teacher – 6-Month Contract

Full-time, 6-month contract (with potential extension)
Salary: Competitive rates of pay (PAYE)
The Role
Vision for Education is seeking a passionate and dynamic Dance Teacher to join a large, well-established secondary school in Bournemouth on a 6-month maternity cover contract starting from 3rd November 2025.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring dance lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging creativity, self-expression, and teamwork. The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can foster a love of performing arts and support students in developing their confidence and skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to gain valuable experience in a supportive and welcoming school environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Teach engaging and well-structured Dance lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
2. Prepare and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum.
3. Support pupils’ academic, creative, and personal development.
4. Create an inclusive learning environment that celebrates creativity.
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Performing Arts department.
Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
7. Experience teaching Dance at secondary level.
8. Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
9. Enthusiasm for the performing arts and inspiring young people.
10. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
