Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our guests enjoy a delightful dining experience. You will assist in various aspects of food preparation and service, maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties
* Assist in the preparation of food items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Ensure that all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
* Support the kitchen staff by helping with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and assembling dishes.
* Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest inquiries or concerns.
* Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the dining experience and promote menu items effectively.
* Maintain organisation within the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring all equipment is clean and properly stored.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Skills
* Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service delivery during peak hours.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
* A passion for food and beverage service, with a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
