Ward 21 is a 19-bed Hyperacute Stroke & Rehabilitation Unit. Successful candidates will receive training in all aspects of stroke care, including diagnostic assessments and thrombolysis treatment.
The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will assess care needs, develop care programs, and evaluate their effectiveness to ensure high-quality patient care.
The post holder is expected to perform all relevant care tasks independently and may supervise registered and unregistered staff, including student nurses.
Responsibilities may vary depending on the ward/department and patient dependency levels.
After 2 years of post-registration experience, the post holder will:
* Coordinate and supervise staff to promote best practice in patient care.
* Provide cover in the absence of senior staff to ensure ward/department operation.

Candidate Requirements
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
* Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Good time management and basic IT skills.
Contract Details
* Permanent, full-time or part-time, various hours.
* This is a part-time position with pro-rata salary.
Location and Working Pattern
Based at Stroke Ward, University Hospital Monklands, with a rotational working pattern.
