A specialist SEN school in Wincanton is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their supportive and nurturing team from September 2025, with the potential to start sooner.

About the Role:
* Support teaching staff in delivering tailored lessons to pupils aged 7–16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
* Lead small group and one-to-one interventions
* Provide classroom cover when necessary under the guidance of senior staff
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
* Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
What We’re Looking For:
* HLTA status or substantial experience working in SEN settings
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
* Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
