3-Month Contract with a local authority
Summary
* Join our team as a Customer Service Representative for a 3-month contract with a local authority in Swindon. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality customer service through the Council’s inbound contact centre. You will play a crucial role in promoting a digital-first approach, guiding residents to access a wide range of services online while ensuring all inquiries are managed efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
* Handle inbound calls from residents, providing accurate and timely information.
* Deliver a professional, friendly, and customer-focused service at all times.
* Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions or guidance.
* Encourage and support customers to access services online.
* Promote digital self-service options to improve accessibility and efficiency.
* Assist customers in navigating online systems and information.
Essential Experience
* Previous experience in a customer service or contact centre environment (desirable).
* Experience handling inbound calls and dealing with customer inquiries.
* Experience supporting customers with digital or online services (desirable).
Essential Qualifications
* GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
* Relevant customer service qualifications (desirable).
Additional Information
* Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
* Work arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with mandatory office presence on Tuesdays for team office day.
* Interviews will be conducted in person at Civic Offices, Euclid Street, Swindon.
* We operate on a bi-weekly schedule.
