Your Job

* Support the overall kitchen operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of all food service areas.
* Lead by example in delivering high-quality, consistent food standards across all services.
* Support and deputise for the Head Chef, taking full responsibility for the kitchen in their absence.
* Supervise, motivate and develop the kitchen team, ensuring standards, productivity, and morale are maintained.
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier management to ensure efficiency and minimise waste.
* Assist in planning rotas in line with business levels, ensuring effective staffing and cost control.
* Ensure all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards are fully adhered to at all times.
* Play a key role in delivering successful meetings, events, and busy service periods.
* Support menu development and contribute ideas to continuously improve the food offering.


What You’ll Need:

* Previous experience in a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef role within a hotel or high-volume environment.
* Proven ability to lead and run a kitchen, including managing service independently.
* Strong organisational skills, including experience with stock control, ordering, and rota planning.
* A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen compliance standards.
* A passion for quality, consistency, and delivering a great guest experience.
* Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant culinary qualification is desirable but not essential.
