37 hours, 39 weeks per year (term‑time only plus INSET days)

The School

Ashfield School is renowned for high standards of teaching, behaviour and academic achievement. It is one of the largest schools in England (2,700 on roll). The role

Ashfield School is looking to appoint a dedicated Attendance Officer to join the existing Attendance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the whole school attendance by working with families and outside agencies.

* Coordinate attendance records and liaise with parents and support services.
* Provide guidance to teachers and students on attendance policies.
* Analyse attendance trends and report to leadership.
* Support the development of attendance improvement plans.

* Relevant experience in attendance management or educational support.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection.

Safeguarding and Vetting

It is an offence to apply if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. A successful offer will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced‑level DBS disclosure with a children’s barred list check, two satisfactory references and successful completion of vetting procedures.
