Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, reliable and highly motivated individuals to join our busy Radiology department at Mid and South Essex University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, as a Band 3 imaging assistant.
Work Pattern
The role requires rotation through different areas of the department including CT, Ultrasound and MRI. You will also be required to rotate through our outlying Community Hospitals from time to time. Staff are required to contribute to the 24‑hour service provided by the Radiology department. Nights are worked on rotation within a group of 10 staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with minor sterile procedures, chaperoning, coordinating patient lists and preparing patients for their examinations.
* Provide support for the extended working week, including evenings and weekends as part of core hours or additional out‑of‑hours.
Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team, with initiative to work individually.
* Genuine interest in patient care and enjoyment of working with people.
* On‑the‑job training will be provided. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.
