Care Home Chef (Bank) – Cheshunt, Hertfordshire
Location: Working between Kingfisher Nursing Home, Emmanuel Lodge, College Road, Cheshunt, Herts, EN8 9NQ and Westgate House Care Centre, Tower Road, Ware, Herts, SG7LP.
Hourly rate: Up to £ per hour (depending on experience)
Shifts: 7:am to 3:pm
Job type: Part time, permanent

About the role:
* Prepare hot and cold meals for residents according to their needs and preferences
* Assist with planning seasonal menus
* Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and regulations
* Carry out checks in the kitchen to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as recording fridge temperatures
* Maintain a clean and hygienic environment, including washing and clearing equipment
* Report all accidents and incidents to the Person-in-Charge of the home
About you:
* The right to live and work in the UK
* Previous experience in a similar role and setting (e.g., care home or school) is essential
* Certificate Level II in Food Safety and Hygiene
* Knowledge of nutritional needs of older people
* Understanding of Health and Safety and regulatory requirements
* A positive, flexible attitude towards work and the ability to work well in a team
