Housing and Communities delivers the council`s routine repairs contract to meet the needs of our tenants through an inhouse planning system. As the 4th largest authority in Scotland and the largest local authority landlord, we are used to delivering a highly responsive service to our tenants and customers. We want to do more and have hugely ambitious plans to regenerate our communities, build new homes, develop Smarter Homes, create employment, attract investment to North Lanarkshire, prevent homelessness and sustain tenancies.

Based in the Housing Property Services team, you will report to the Service Delivery Coordinator (Planning) and will work as part of a team to co-ordinate an effective and efficient repairs and maintenance service.

You should have some relevant work experience based within the construction/housing industry with experience of repairs planning and co-ordination and management of repair diaries for prioritising and scheduling of works desirable. You should also have an SVQ3/HNC/Apprenticeship or equivalent level of qualification in a relevant discipline.

A key role will be to work as part of a team in conjunction with the Customer Service Hub to prioritise and schedule repairs and planned works across all our partners and service providers. You will manage diaries for works during and out with business hours. Other key duties will include monitoring progress of works throughout the day and ensure appointment diaries are on target to meet completion date and/or all scheduled works are on target to meet completion timescales.

An excellent organiser with the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment, you should be able to communicate effectively with a range of tradespeople.

Work pattern:

37 hours per week which has a 3-week shift pattern, with one weekend worked in three.
