Job Description:
We are looking to strengthen our Engineering team with a Structural Engineer at Engineer, Senior or Principal level, based at Hattersley or within any of our UK regions with hybrid working available.

You will report directly to the Structures Lead (Hattersley), and your role will provide high-quality Engineering Design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. You will coordinate the design and produce Structural design documents and drawings, considering health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards related to the contract.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Producing structural design calculations for Water Treatment and Sewage Treatment plants, including new builds and modifications
* Reviewing structural content of construction drawings/models
* Reviewing subcontract design proposals, ensuring work is considered for buildability, standardization, DfMA, and safety on site, complying with CDM regulations
* Designing reinforced concrete and steelwork per Eurocodes and British Standards, coordinating within a multi-discipline organization, including construction oversight and site support
* Following procedures to ensure ongoing development of the discipline
* Resource planning and managing project delivery within budget and schedule
* Coordinating designs with other disciplines using internal and external resources
* Supporting civil design staff and junior staff development
* Considering environmental issues in designs
* Improving processes and procedures
* Collaborating with the extended team in Pune, India
