Contract: Fixed Term (18 months)
Salary: £19,116 - £23,340 per annum (Apprenticeship)
Hours: 36.66 per week
Location: OL1 3UH

Role Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career and make a real difference in the community. As an apprentice working with the OC District Team, you'll work closely with experienced colleagues and local partners to help residents access the services they need. You'll support and take part in a variety of community activities and events, helping to plan and deliver campaigns that are inclusive and meaningful. Using local knowledge and guidance from your team, you'll play a part in making sure our work reaches the people who need it most, while also helping to strengthen our presence in the community.


Key Responsibilities

* Supporting the team and officers in the process delivering key tasks as part of the resident focussed service and support offer across Oldham districts
* Alongside officers, supporting residents to access support and services via community engagement activities.
* Alongside officers, support the facilitation of Partnership meetings within the Districts.
* Alongside officers, support the delivery of a community offer within designated venues and assets managed by the Council.
* Using a range of computer packages e.g., typing letters in word, inputting data onto databases and spreadsheets in excel and updating electronic calendars in outlook
* Ensuring information from providers and services is up to date
* Webpage research and design and content development
* Supporting with marketing and communications
* Completing and monitoring action plans
* Taking notes and producing minutes and action plans from meetings
* Photocopying and other similar administration duties.
* Dealing with telephone calls, emails and other communications, internal and external, in an appropriate manner, providing advice and information
* Assisting with financial tasks such as placing purchase orders and updating documents including spreadsheets and monitoring budgets.
