Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission
This is a full time on site role at Hinkley Point C, so you’ll need to live within commuting distance of Bridgwater or be ready to relocate, with support available.

The position offers a chance to take on broader responsibility across temporary infrastructure and utilities, ideal for someone ready to move into a first managerial style role.

A key focus is shaping the planning and coordination of temporary construction assets while learning how these services operate across a major project.

The role supports the smooth, safe running of daily construction activity, giving you real ownership over a vital service area as you grow.

Key Responsibilities:

🚧 Manage daily delivery of a core utilities support service
📋 Oversee compliance with statutory, regulatory and site controls
🤝 Build effective working relationships with the service contract partner
🛑 Ensure contractor competence and escalate capability gaps quickly
📆 Implement delivery plans to meet project needs and schedules
🔎 Intervene early to prevent issues and protect service performance
📝 Help develop procedures that support strategy within your work area
📑 Contribute to technical specifications for procurement activities
🔗 Coordinate with site teams to align utilities work with wider plans
🌍 Work cooperatively with local supply chain partners

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

🔧 Engineering background with utilities experience like pumps, lighting or dewatering
🏗️ Strong experience working on active construction sites
📊 Ability to manage delivery in fast changing site environments
👷 Proven coordination of contractors or service teams
🗣️ Clear communication and confident relationship building on site
📁 Experience working within large or complex project structures
⏱️ Strong organisation and effective time management skills
🔄 Flexible approach to changing scopes and priorities
📡 Comfortable working on a highly regulated construction site
🤝 Commitment to working cooperatively with local supply chain partners
