We are seeking a motivated and experienced Garden Centre Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our independently owned vibrant garden centre in Tamworth.

The Assistant Manager will play a key role in maintaining high standards of merchandising, stock management, and customer service.

Responsibilities
* Assist the Centre Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the garden centre.
* Lead and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of presentation.
* Manage stock levels, organise merchandising displays, and ensure products are attractively presented.
* Provide expert advice on gardening, horticulture, and plant care to customers.
* Coordinate staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to optimise team productivity.
* Support promotional activities and seasonal displays to increase centre sales.
* Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
* Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times within the premises.
Experience
* Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is essential; knowledge of plant care and garden centre operations is highly advantageous.
* Previous supervisory or managerial experience within a retail or garden centre environment is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers, staff, and suppliers effectively.
