Rate of pay £17.15 per hour. Disabled child in Pumpherston looking for two support workers to help her with daily living. The young person needs two to one support. When the young girl is having a good day, she will need support to go out and have fun, for example by going to the park or out for a walk. On other days you will be supporting her at home, helping her to play and relax. It is essential that the postholders have experience with working with disabled children. The job will involve tracheostomy care, Basic Life Saving (BSL) and gastrostomy care, along with some moving and assistance. It would be useful if the postholders have experience/knowledge in those areas, although full training will be given. It is essential that the postholders be members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or willing to join. The post will consist of one five hour shift per week either on a Friday afternoon or the weekend. Some flexibility would be required, especially over school holidays.
