Job Description:
As Business Development Lead, you will be expected to conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and demonstrate strong leadership.
Your main focus will be business development for the client, as well as supporting the internal team. This includes leading by example, motivating team members, and helping them develop to reach their full potential.
As a Subject Matter Expert in climate change and sustainability, you will lead in developing and maximizing the contract and consultancy experience for clients. You will also serve as Leader and Solution Oversight on client projects, supervising consultants and senior staff to ensure client goals are met. Additionally, you will actively seek and pursue new business opportunities to support organizational growth and strategy.
Responsibilities
Business Development
* Proactively identify opportunities and develop strategies for business growth.
* Lead in writing bids, proposals, and responding to tenders.
* Engage with clients, potential clients, and partners effectively.
* Promote the business through social media channels such as LinkedIn.
* Develop and present case studies and lessons learned from projects.
* Contact subcontractors and clients to identify further opportunities.
* Manage large client accounts and report to senior leadership.
Internal Responsibilities
* Communicate effectively with senior staff, clients, and stakeholders.
* Support leadership initiatives and business development activities.
* Represent the company at conferences, events, and exhibitions.
* Manage and supervise technical staff and resources.
* Set strategic direction and ensure its implementation.
* Maximize utilization levels of service stream consultants.
* Manage team workloads, objectives, and performance.
