About the role
The Software Development Team Leader will provide technical leadership and line management of a team of Workday developers. We expect Team Leaders to take a hands-on development role working within Workday Studio on complex integrations to meet business and system requirements.
You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, the Head of Enterprise Business Platforms and other members of the ERP Platform Team with the overall goal of enabling seamless, robust and supportable data flow between Workday and other enterprise systems.
The post holder will manage a development team that:
1. Develops, maintains and improves integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems at the University
2. Works within the ERP Platform Team to provide configuration support for Workday
3. Develops new processes, workflows and reports
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
4. Experience developing and supporting real-world IT systems in production
5. Experience developing team members through training, mentoring and coaching
6. Knowledge of current software development practices (unit testing, continuous integration etc.)
7. Hands-on experience of Workday Studio, building and maintaining complex integrations
8. Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, REST), XML, XSLT, Java, SQL, JSON
9. Experience of developing, deploying, scheduling reports
10. An understanding of agile software development models (Scrum, Kanban)
11. An ability to adapt to new languages, technologies and frameworks
12. Experience developing and supporting real-world IT systems in production
