Employee Relations Specialist
9-Month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment
Location: Edinburgh (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home)
Salary: A competitive salary from £29,840 – £37,300, depending on the experience you can bring

Here at Aegon UK, our Employee Relations function is a centre of expertise within the People function providing support, direction and advice on all aspects of Employee Relations.
As our Employee Relations Specialist, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide high quality and consistent case management advice and support, including the development and delivery of associated training.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing support to the Employee Relations Manager and Employee Relations Consultant to support the Employee Relations agenda.
* Providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on investigations, suspensions, disciplinary hearings and grievances, to ensure those activities are conducted in accordance with legislation, case law principles and best practice.
* Documenting and tracking employee cases, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of records.
* Supporting the Senior Employee Relations Specialist in the development of case management training and delivering case management training when required.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience in effectively managing cases whilst providing a high level of customer service.
* Good understanding of People policies, procedures, employment laws and best practice.
* Ability to navigate diverse and sometimes challenging situations with a commitment to fairness and equity.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, managers and other stakeholders.
* Meticulous attention to detail will be required for documenting cases accurately, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
