Overview
New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs circa 850 people across three sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from around the world. We are part of the Sealaska Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation formed in 1971 and which is owned by 26,000 Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian shareholders, who are all bloodline descendants of the first settlers to the Americas.

Reporting To: Retail Production Supervisor / Retail Line Leader
Responsibilities
* Health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and anyone else on site. Ensure products are produced and packed in line with health and safety and food safety requirements.
* Support the efficient completion of daily tasks in the retail production processes; ensure products are produced and packed to required standards.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures; report hazards and near misses immediately through the K2 reporting system or to your Supervisor or Line Manager.
* Ensure our product is food safe by following all procedures and by reporting any issues (e.g., foreign bodies) to Supervisor, Line Manager or QAs immediately.
Quality
* Ensure all products are produced to the customer’s Product Specification by working to our QASs.
* Raise issues concerning raw materials, packaging and/or equipment to Supervisor or Line Manager in a timely manner.
* Protect brand integrity by raising any product or packaging issues to line manager or QAs when required.
Cost
* Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
* Support business productivity improvement projects (PIPs) as requested.
Delivery
* Help to achieve 100% service by escalating any issues with product/packaging quality to Supervisor or the Compliance Ops line.
People
* Be aware of working hours to comply with the Working Time Directive (WTD): maximum 60 hours in 7 days, 11 hours rest, 1 day off in 7 or 2 days off in 14.

Hours
Hours of work: Sunday to Thursday, 10pm – 6am.
