Job Title: SEMH Teacher Location: Sheffield (S5) Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time Are you a passionate and resilient teacher dedicated to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to achieve their potential? GSL Education are seeking a committed SEMH Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Sheffield (S5). This role offers an opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping young learners develop confidence, emotional regulation, and a love for learning in a structured and nurturing environment. As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs. Foster a safe, calm, and supportive classroom environment that encourages emotional stability and engagement. Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement individual learning and behaviour support plans. Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils to promote motivation, resilience, and self-esteem. Monitor pupil progress, adapt teaching strategies, and provide feedback to support ongoing development. Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (essential). Strong behaviour management and communication skills. A compassionate, patient, and adaptable teaching approach. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
