Exeter
Darts Farm
Marketing executive
Posted: 27 March
Offer description

Darts Farm is a nationally recognised, family-run destination located in the beautiful Devon countryside near Topsham, Exeter. What began 55 years ago, with our father selling his own farm produce direct to the local community has grown into one of the UK’s most celebrated farm shops – a place where great food, craftsmanship & community come together.

Today, Darts Farm has evolved into a vibrant, experience-led destination, featuring a bustling food hall, farm-to-table restaurants, vineyard, cidery, wellness spa, home & lifestyle departments and much more, all under one roof on our working farm. Together, we create a truly unique experience that people love and return to time & time again. We are looking for someone to help share the stories that make Darts Farm & it’s people so special.

You will support our marketing and events team across digital, print, in‑store and live experiences - from website, social media and email campaigns to seasonal events, workshops and community festivals. This is a hands-on role in a fast‑paced retail and hospitality environment, ideal for someone early in their marketing career with a passion for artisan food, drink, events and great customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

* Assist with planning, scheduling and publishing content across social media channels to promote Darts Farm, our tenants and events.
* Help create, edit and update content for our website, including blogs, product pages and event listings (CMS and Shopify).
* Support the delivery of email newsletters, including content planning, copy writing, proof reading, imagery and basic performance reporting.
* Monitor and engage with emerging trends across social media and email marketing platforms, identifying opportunities for brand communication and audience engagement.
* Support with photography and video content at events and on site, capturing assets for future marketing activity.
* Work closely with our retail, hospitality, spa and events teams to promote in‑store experiences, tastings, workshops and larger events.
* Engage in the creation and delivery of unique brand events.
* Assist with producing in‑store and event material (posters, flyers, menus, signage, POS) and ensure brand consistency.
* Provide on-the-day event support, including setup and takedown, guest registration, signage, liaising with suppliers and ensuring a smooth customer experience.
* Provide general administrative support to the marketing and events team where needed (generic inboxes and customer relations, CRM updates, Shopify).

Requirements

* Degree in marketing, events, communications, business or a related subject, or equivalent experience.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail.
* Confident using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) in a professional or brand context.
* Basic understanding or interest in digital marketing (email, websites, analytics).
* Experience using Canva, Adobe or design software desirable.
* Events experience (through work, university or clubs/societies).
* Organised and calm under pressure, able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, especially around busy event periods.
* Creative mindset with an eye for good visuals, storytelling and engaging experiences.
* Comfortable working occasional evenings and weekends to support events.
* Genuine interest in food, drink, retail, hospitality and creating great customer experiences.
* Hands‑on experience across a broad mix of marketing channels and live events.
* Working within a dynamic, friendly, family‑run business with a strong local reputation, national recognition and an exciting future.
* Generous staff discount across the farm shop, restaurants, spa and other businesses on site (E.g. Cotswold Outdoor).
* Training and development opportunities, with a pathway to progress as your skills and responsibilities grow.
* Free on‑site parking and a beautiful countryside working environment just outside Exeter.
